About Me:
My name is Kathy Wootten and this will be my 25th year of teaching and my 12th year teaching at Montgomery Elementary School. Prior to this, I had taught grades 2-5 at Nancy Creek Elementary where I was named the 2006-2007 Teacher of the Year. I started my teaching career in 1995 at McLendon Elementary School, where I was named the 1999-2000 Teacher of the Year.
I am a Teacher Support Specialist with a Specialist Degree in Educational Technology and a Masters Degree in Reading and Literacy. In addition, I hold a Gifted Certification and am certified P-8.
Of all of the grades that I have taught, 3rd grade is my most favorite because of all of the fun and interesting things that we learn about.
During the summer break, my favorite place to go is back "home" to Pensacola, Florida where I can relax at the beach and visit old friends.
